The Ultraseal 20 EX is a 20 kHz portable ultrasonic metal tube sealer. It seals copper tubes up to 12mm in diameter. The EX model was specifically developed for explosive environments in Group II Category 2 or 3.
Its precise controls ensure consistent seals and minimize dependency on the operator's skill. The Ultraseal 20 EX eliminates open flame brazing or lead base solder as well as consumables including acetylene, flux, brazing material or solder. A one step operation crimps, seals and cuts off charged tube in under one second. Ultrasonic tube sealing is well suited for automation because of excellent process control and reliability. The Ultraseal 20 is so easy to operate that it can be operated with one hand and is suitable for either left or right-handed use. To use the Ultraseal 20 EX, the operator positions the Ultraseal 20 tool over the fill tube and simply presses the start button. The tube is automatically crimped and its inner surfaces are vibrated together at 20,000 cycles per second. The intense scrubbing action disperses oxides and contamination enabling the strong attraction of atoms across the weld interface to create a true, metallurgical weld and a permanent, hermetic seal.
