Maintaining process control and high quality standards is vital in every industry. For this reason, AmTech has developed an advanced control system for wire splicing. The AmTech Ultrasplice features an advanced microprocessor control that monitors the weld cycle through a power feedback signal. The power in Watts applied to the weld is integrated over the weld time to determine the total energy applied. This automatically adjusts the weld cycle to produce perfect quality welds, regardless of wire variations. Control limits can be preset on weld time, power, and height. If any splice falls outside the preset limits, a signal alerts the operator to isolate the suspect assembly. 1000 preset splice parameters can be stored in the controller’s memory, and instantly recalled to facilitate setup and eliminate operator error.
